Middle Corridor, North-South Route drive investment in Eurasian transport sector

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Dec. 11. The transport and
logistics sector in Eurasia stays extremely enticing for
traders, partly because of the lively improvement of worldwide
corridors, together with the North-South Transport Hall and the
Trans-Caspian Worldwide Transport Route (Center Hall),
Pattern studies
citing the Eurasian Growth Financial institution (EDB).

“The rising significance of the Center Hall and the
North-South Transport Hall has been a key development in latest
years. Cargo site visitors alongside the Center Hall reached 3.3 million
tons in 2024, together with 56,500 twenty-foot equal items (TEUs).
Shipments through the North-South Hall exceeded 20 million tons,
together with 50,000 TEUs. Goal forecasts for 2030 are 11.4 million
tons for the Center Hall and 32 million tons for the
North-South Hall,” the report mentioned.

The expansion in freight site visitors is driving the event of
rail, highway, port, and logistics infrastructure, together with
warehousing and digital options to facilitate environment friendly
multimodal transit. Total funding wants for the event of
the Eurasian transport framework in Central Asia are estimated to
exceed $52 billion by 2035, in keeping with the EDB.

The Center Hall is a transport and commerce route connecting
Asia and Europe and passing by means of a number of international locations within the
area. The route begins in China, crosses Central Asian international locations
together with Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan, then traverses
the Caspian Sea, passing by means of Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye
earlier than reaching Europe. The hall offers a land-based
connection linking japanese Asia, together with China, to Europe,
bypassing longer maritime routes.
