The Maharashtra State Election Fee (SEC) on Monday introduced the much-awaited polls to the state’s 29 municipal companies, together with Mumbai.
Elections might be held on January 15, and votes might be counted on January 16, stated State Election Commissioner Dinesh Waghmare.
The outstanding civic our bodies going to polls embrace Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Nashik, Nagpur and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
As many as 2,869 seats in these municipal companies might be up for grabs, stated the SEC.
