Serang (ANTARA) – The Banten Regional Police deployed 100 personnel from its Cellular Brigade (Brimob) unit to Aceh to assist Operation Aman Nusa II of the Nationwide Police (Polri), as a part of ongoing catastrophe response efforts in Sumatra.

Banten Police Chief Inspector Normal Hengki highlighted the Brimob deployment as a testomony to Polri’s readiness and dedication to helping residents affected by floods and landslides that struck a number of districts and cities in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra final month.

“The 100 Brimob personnel are assigned to hold out humanitarian duties for one to 6 months, relying on situational developments and directions from Polri Headquarters,” he acknowledged throughout the troop send-off in Serang Metropolis, Banten, on Friday.
