The Bengaluru cybercrime police lately arrested an auto-rickshaw driver and a software program engineer for allegedly posting derogatory feedback towards a girl on social media.
The girl had filed a grievance on the Cyber Crime Police Station on December 24, alleging that a number of people had been posting obscene and derogatory messages towards her and her household on social media. The complainant requested authorized motion towards 18 individuals who had been allegedly posting these obscene messages.
The cybercrime police tracked down messages posted by the accused on social media platforms like Fb and Instagram. Two of the accused had been subsequently recognized and arrested.
Releasing an announcement on Friday, the Bengaluru police mentioned, “Two accused had been recognized as Chandrashekar B, son of Sarabai, 45 years, an auto-rickshaw driver, resident of Chikkabanavara, Bengaluru and Nithin, son of Basavarajappa, 31 years, a software program engineer, resident of Davanagere.
