Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs has emphasised that every one on-line gaming platforms should adjust to baby safety rules within the digital house.

This contains strengthening age verification methods, limiting interactive options, and implementing efficient content material moderation.

“The federal government stresses that each platform is obliged to uphold baby safety rules, together with stronger age verification, restrictions on interactive options, and efficient content material moderation,” stated Director Common of Digital Area Oversight on the Ministry Alexander Sabar in Jakarta on Thursday.

Alexander famous that many underage customers proceed to entry on-line video games by utilizing their mother and father’ identities.

He defined that the Ministry is in ongoing dialogue with gaming platforms to handle this subject.

The obligations of on-line gaming platforms are bolstered via Authorities Regulation No. 17 of 2025 on Digital System Governance for Baby Safety (PP Tunas).

This regulation requires all Digital System Suppliers (PSEs), together with digital platforms, to implement complete and accountable baby safety measures.

For video games that includes user-generated content material (UGC), the Ministry has established the Indonesia Recreation Score System (IGRS) because the nationwide normal for age and content material classification, in addition to a public schooling instrument.

Along with stronger collaboration with stakeholders, Alexander highlighted that defending kids in UGC-based video games requires a mixture of IGRS requirements and platform governance.
