“When it comes to Article 89(2)(b) of the Structure of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the President is suggested to withdraw the ‘Particular Financial Zones (Modification) Ordinance, 2026’, as proposed at para 4 of the abstract,” said an announcement issued by the Prime Minister’s Workplace (PMO).

The PPP had hours earlier staged a walkout, with MNA Naveed Qamar, saying that for the primary time, in “Pakistan’s black legislative historical past”, an ordinance has been promulgated with out the approval or signature of the president, terming it “shameful”.
