Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], January 16 (ANI): Kashmiri Shia Muslims in Srinagar and Budgam staged demonstrations in help of Iran and protested in opposition to the US and Israel amid the continuing unrest within the Islamic Republic.

Iran is at present witnessing anti-government protests, and US President Donald Trump has inspired them, stating over the weekend that Washington DC stands prepared to assist.

Aga Syed Hasan Al-Moosavi Al-Safavi, President of the Anjuman Sharie Shian in Jammu and Kashmir, accused the US and Israel of ‘spreading terror’ in Iran.

He mentioned, ‘It needs to unfold terror throughout the nation. So, we’re protesting in opposition to them (the US and Israel). We’ll protest in opposition to atrocity and injustice.’

A protester advised ANI, ‘Israel and the US don’t let individuals reside in peace. So, we’re protesting in opposition to these enemies. Each nation ought to have the ability to thrive. We’re with Khamenei sahab and his individuals. We’ll proceed to protest in opposition to the atrocity. We’ll sacrifice ourselves, however we’ll hold defending Islam.’

J&Ok Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday spoke to Exterior Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, who assured him that steps will probably be taken to safeguard the pursuits and lives of scholars and different individuals from Jammu and Kashmir who’re in Iran now.

Earlier on Friday, Awami Itihaad Celebration (AIP) MP Sheikh Abdul Rashid, aka Engineer Rashid, wrote to Jaishankar, looking for his pressing intervention for the rescue and protected evacuation of Kashmiri college students from the Islamic Republic.

In accordance with sources, the MEA is making ready to facilitate the return of Indian nationals from Iran amid the evolving scenario there.
