The army kicked off the ninth Worldwide Pakistan Military Workforce Spirit (PATS) Competitors 2026 on Wednesday with the attendance of contingents from the forces of 19 pleasant nations.

A submit on X by state broadcaster PTV Information stated the opening ceremony was held on the Nationwide Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC), Pabbi, with the purpose to improve military-to-military cooperation amongst contingents from 19 pleasant nations’ forces.

“A complete of 24 worldwide groups from 19 pleasant nations, together with army observers, are collaborating within the competitors. Taking part nations embrace Bahrain, Bangladesh, Belarus, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Maldives, Morocco, Nepal, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Türkiye, United States of America, and Uzbekistan. Moreover, Indonesia, Myanmar, and Thailand are collaborating as observers,” the submit stated.

It added {that a} whole of 16 home groups from the Pakistan Military and Pakistan Navy, together with observers from the Pakistan Air Power, had been additionally participating within the train.

It stated PATS is a mission particular and task-oriented skilled army train, hosted yearly within the nation.

Final 12 months, the army had hosted the eighth version of the PATS competitors at Kharian Garrison, drawing participation from 15 native and worldwide army groups.

The 60-hour-long, high-intensity army train centered on patrolling in semi-mountainous terrain and was designed to boost fight abilities, adaptability, and teamwork by way of a shared trade of ways and modern strategies.

The train had advanced right into a prestigious platform for military-to-military engagement {and professional} growth.
