The Delhi police stated that no barricading, warning indicators or safety guard have been deployed close to the 15-feet-deep pit dug on a highway in west Delhi’s Janakpuri, which claimed the lifetime of a 25-year-old man who fell into it along with his bike within the wee hours of Friday.
In accordance with the FIR, the pit had been dug by the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) and its contractor on Professor Joginder Singh Marg close to the Andhra Faculty. It was left open with none security preparations to alert highway customers.
“There was no barricading, no warning signal or safety guard deployed on the web site regardless of the pit being dug in the course of the highway,” the FIR stated.
The police stated a spot inspection carried out after the accident indicated that the authorities involved have been conscious of the excavation work however failed to make sure primary security measures.
“The inspection of the scene clearly means that the pit was left open with none protecting measures, posing a severe danger to commuters,” the FIR stated.
Kamal Dhyani, an worker with a personal financial institution in Rohini, was returning house on the intervening night time of Thursday-Friday when he fell into the pit dug for a sewer challenge along with his bike, struggling deadly accidents.
