NEW DELHI: IndiGo will, from Wednesday (Feb 11), function flights as per the necessities of the brand new safety-enhancing flight obligation norms for pilots. The dispensation given by the Directorate Common of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to the airline from following the flight obligation time limitation (FDTL) for its Airbus A320 household pilots lapsed on Tuesday. IndiGo has additional acknowledged that every one mandatory operational, rostering, and monitoring preparations are being put in place to make sure full compliance with the authorised FDTL scheme with impact from Feb 11, 2026,” the DGCA stated in a press release on Wednesday.Sharing a “standing replace”, the regulator stated the onetime exemption was given to IndiGo on Dec 5, 2025, “in view of the large flight disruptions confronted by the airline throughout the preliminary days of Dec 2025… with a view to stabilising flight operations and safeguarding passenger security and curiosity.” The dispensation was “for a restricted interval solely legitimate as much as Feb 10, 2026.”“The… exemptions had been granted topic to specified situations (like) submission of hourly flight operations information to DGCA and weekly/fortnightly stories on operational efficiency. Through the validity of the exemptions, IndiGo flight operations had been monitored carefully by means of periodic evaluate conferences with DGCA. Additional, DGCA officers had been deployed at varied airports to supervise passenger dealing with and handle passenger inconvenience.
