The Spanish authorities has ordered prosecutors to analyze social media platforms X, Meta META.O and TikTok for allegedly spreading AI-generated little one sexual abuse materials, Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez stated on Tuesday.

The announcement comes as European regulators are cracking down on massive tech corporations, alleging the prevalence of abusive practices on on-line platforms starting from anti-competitive behaviour in digital promoting to deliberate design of addictive options on social media.

The three corporations named by Sanchez didn’t instantly reply to emailed requests for remark.
