Guimaras execs oppose hike in boat fares
ILOILO CITY, Philippines — Guimaras Governor Ma. Lucille Nava and the island province’s 5 mayors have expressed opposition to the proposed fare hike for motor boats plying the path to and from Iloilo Metropolis. In a letter to Maritime Business Authority (Marina) Area 6 director Bernardo Pollo, Nava emphasised that the fare improve would negatively influence their constituents. “The ocean transport route between Guimaras and Iloilo Metropolis will not be merely non-compulsory—it’s a vital each day lifeline for our residents, notably employees, college students, small-scale merchants, and sufferers looking for medical providers,” Nava stated. “The proposed changes signify a considerable improve that can […]…
