SINGAPORE: A lady was washing her garments and cooking at dwelling when her washer, which she had used for nearly six years, began releasing smoke and finally caught hearth. This incident occurred in a four-room unit on the fifth ground of an HDB block situated on Tampines Road 23.

A 23-year-old girl reported to Shin Min Every day Information that there was thick black smoke coming from the home windows of the mentioned location, and lots of residents had gathered downstairs to know what was taking place.
