Iran reports success against U.S. and Israel-backed separatists in border sweep

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 5. Iran’s Ministry of
Intelligence introduced that separatist teams supported by the
United States and Israel have been neutralized following a joint
operation with the Safety Service of the Islamic Revolutionary
Guard Corps (IRGC/SEPAH), Development studies.

The ministry stated the teams had entered the nation by
Iran’s western border and have been planning assaults in border cities.
Authorities reported that a big portion of the teams’ positions
and operational capabilities had been destroyed.

Following the second spherical of nuclear talks between Washington
and Tehran on February 17, which ended with out progress, the U.S.
elevated its presence in areas close to Iran, deploying over 150
plane to bases in Europe and the Center East.

The escalation follows the third spherical of nuclear talks between
Iran and the USA in Geneva on February 26. Held underneath the
administration of U.S. President Donald Trump, the negotiations
have been considered as the ultimate probability to strike a deal diplomatically.
Nevertheless, no agreements have been reached, as Tehran refused to halt
uranium enrichment, dismantle its nuclear services, or settle for
indefinite restrictions on its nuclear program. Israel launched its
airstrikes shortly afterward, with the nation’s Protection Minister
Katz emphasizing that the operations have been preemptive.

In a major escalation, army airstrikes carried out by
Israel and the USA yesterday have reportedly
resulted within the deaths of Iran’s Supreme Chief Seyyed Ali Khamenei
and several other members of his household.

Moreover, a number of of Iran’s most senior army and
safety officers have been killed within the airstrikes, together with Chief
of Employees Main Normal Abdolrahim Mousavi, Islamic Revolutionary
Guard Corps (IRGC) Commander-in-Chief Mohammad Pakpour, Supreme
Chief adviser and Protection Council Secretary Ali Shamkhani, and
Protection Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh.
