Key Factors

  • Two Bangladeshi nationals, together with a 17-year-old woman, had been detained in Bengaluru for unlawful residency.
  • The people had been working at Winsome Tree Neighborhood and residing within the Ok Narayanapura space.
  • The detention occurred throughout a police verification drive initiated following directives from the Karnataka Dwelling Minister.
  • The detained people have been handed over to the Foreigners Regional Registration Workplace (FRRO) for additional authorized motion and shifted to a detention centre.

Two Bangladeshi nationals, together with a 17-year-old woman, who had been residing illegally within the metropolis, had been held throughout a police verification drive, officers stated.

The woman who hails from Dhaka, and 23-year-old Mohammed Umar, who hails from Bagerhat district of Bangladesh, had been working at Winsome Tree Neighborhood right here, they stated.

The duo, who lived within the Ok Narayanapura space, below the jurisdiction of the Kothanur police station limits, had been caught on Wednesday throughout a police verification drive, a senior police officer stated.

Following an inquiry, the 2 had been handed over to the Foreigners Regional Registration Workplace (FRRO) for additional authorized motion, he stated.

“Additional verification and proceedings will probably be carried out in accordance with immigration guidelines. At present, they’ve been shifted to a detention centre,” he added.

These particular drives are being performed following the directives of Karnataka Dwelling Minister G Parameshwara, who in February instructed the police division to conduct a state-wide drive to establish Bangladeshi nationals or different international nationals staying illegally right here.
