Vientiane authorities have detained 30 younger adults and youngsters following two separate operations in Xaysettha district focusing on disorderly conduct and unlawful drug use.

The primary operation was launched on 12 March after residents in Nongnineng village reported a gaggle of youths, aged between 15 and their early 20s, gathering and inflicting disturbances within the space. Police investigated, arrested 11 members of the group, and seized two selfmade weapons.

A follow-up operation on 16 March introduced authorities to Mouangnoy village, the place one other group had gathered late at night time for a birthday celebration.
