I have been overlaying battle in a number of continents throughout Syria, Iraq, Nigeria, Congo, and Ukraine. There are a number of factors in my profession that basically stick with me.

A decade later, I used to be accompanying a frontline soldier ship a drone to a trench 50m from the Russians. It turned clear industrial warfare had returned to Europe with brutal power.
