Donald Trump is “strongly contemplating” pulling the US out of Nato, in line with an interview he gave to the Telegraph.
The newspaper says Trump known as the alliance a “paper tiger” and claimed the UK doesn’t have a navy.
Requested if he would rethink the US’s membership of the alliance after the battle within the Center East, Trump stated: “Oh sure, I’d say [it’s] past reconsideration…
“I used to be by no means swayed by Nato. I at all times knew they have been a paper tiger, and Putin is aware of that too, by the way in which.”
“You don’t actually have a navy. You’re too outdated and had plane carriers that didn’t work,” he added, referring to the state of Britain’s fleet of warships.
