DENPASAR, Bali — 4 Indian vacationers have been caught taking resort property from a resort in Ubud, Gianyar, in an incident that has since gone viral on social media. The case was in the end settled amicably with out authorized motion.

Police stated the incident occurred on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at round 10:00 a.m. native time at Asvara Resort Ubud in Kelusa Village, Payangan district.

In keeping with Gianyar Police spokesperson Iptu I Gusti Ngurah Suardita, the 4 vacationers had been staying on the resort since April 16, reserving two rooms for a three-day, two-night keep earlier than testing on April 19.

Throughout the check-out course of, resort workers found that a number of in-room objects have been lacking. A subsequent inspection revealed that the objects had been packed into the visitors’ baggage.

The objects included tub towels, pool towels, a hair dryer, kimono robes, a doormat, a TV distant field, and eating utensils belonging to the resort.

“The findings have been reported to administration, which then halted the check-out course of for clarification,” Suardita stated on Tuesday, April 21.

Resort workers later inspected the vacationers’ baggage and recovered the lacking objects.

Regardless of the incident, the case was not reported to the police. Each events agreed to resolve the matter by way of mediation, with the vacationers returning all objects.

“The difficulty was settled amicably, with all objects returned and no additional authorized course of pursued,” Suardita stated.

Following the settlement, the resort allowed the visitors to finish their check-out.
