Members of the anti-IDF draft haredi (ultra-orthodox) Peleg Yerushalmi (Jerusalem Faction) held a protest blocking roads beneath Jerusalem’s Chords Bridge from roughly 5 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.
The group protests on a frequent foundation towards the detention of haredi draft dodgers.
On Tuesday, the Jerusalem Faction blocked Freeway 4 close to Bnei Brak.
Israel Police stated that police and Border Law enforcement officials are working “following a disturbance on the entrance to Jerusalem.”
“Disorderly individuals are blocking the principle site visitors route on the entrance to town and disrupting public order within the space,” police added.
Police and Border Law enforcement officials are “working within the space with the goal of restoring order and reopening the highway to the general public,” police continued.
