DPM Dar confirms safe return of Pakistanis detained aboard aircraft by US authorities

Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Overseas Minister Ishaq Dar introduced that 11 Pakistani nationals detained aboard an plane by US authorities have safely returned to the nation.

In a press release shared on X, Ishaq Dar stated the repatriation course of for 11 Pakistanis and 20 Iranian residents had been accomplished efficiently.

He said that each one passengers detained by US authorities had been introduced again by Pakistan and had returned dwelling safely and in good well being.

In keeping with the deputy prime minister, journey preparations for the Pakistani and Iranian nationals had been finalised with the help of Singapore. After arriving in Bangkok from Singapore, a particular flight carrying the passengers departed for Islamabad.

He added that Iranian nationals had been additionally assisted in returning to Iran by Pakistan.

Ishaq Dar thanked the federal government and the overseas minister of Singapore for his or her cooperation and appreciated the assist prolonged by Iranian Overseas Minister Abbas Araghchi.

He additionally acknowledged the cooperation of the USA in facilitating the return of the 31 Pakistani and Iranian residents, whereas thanking the federal government of Thailand for transit preparations in Bangkok.

The deputy prime minister praised the efforts of Pakistan’s overseas ministry, inside ministry, and diplomatic missions, reiterating that the safety and welfare of abroad Pakistanis stay a prime authorities precedence.
