MUSCAT : Oman’s International Minister His Excellency Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi and India’s Exterior Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar mentioned regional developments, maritime safety and bilateral cooperation throughout a cellphone name on Monday, amid rising issues over navigation within the Strait of Hormuz.

In response to Oman Information Company, the 2 ministers reviewed areas of cooperation between Oman and India and exchanged views on the evolving regional state of affairs, notably in mild of disruptions affecting maritime visitors within the area and the Strait of Hormuz.

The ministers careworn the necessity to intensify diplomatic efforts geared toward de-escalating tensions and discovering sustainable options to the continuing disaster, the report stated.

In a separate name, Sayyid Badr additionally held talks with Austria’s Federal Minister for European and Worldwide Affairs Beate Meinl-Reisinger, throughout which either side mentioned regional and international developments linked to the present tensions.

The 2 ministers underlined the significance of continuous diplomatic engagement to attain a breakthrough within the disaster and ease its problems, whereas guaranteeing the uninterrupted stream of maritime provide chains and safeguarding freedom of navigation in accordance with worldwide legislation.
