A gasoline explosion at a coal mine in northern China killed dozens on Friday, in response to Xinhua, a Chinese language state information company. In 2024, China’s Nationwide Mine Security Administration cited the coal mine for “extreme security hazards” and excessive gasoline ranges. As of Saturday morning, the reason for the explosion was nonetheless unknown, in response to CCTV, the Chinese language state broadcaster.
