DUBAI : UAE-based telecommunications group e& has agreed to promote a 12.5% stake in Careem Applied sciences to Uber Applied sciences for $100 million in money, deepening the U.S. ride-hailing big’s possession within the regional expertise platform.
The transaction varieties a part of e&’s current 50.03% shareholding in Careem Applied sciences. Upon completion of the deal, e& will retain a 37.53% stake within the firm, based on an announcement issued on Monday.
