LUMS commemorates 75 years of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations

Lahore Marking the seventy fifth anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and the Individuals’s Republic of China, the Parvez Hassan Centre for Chinese language Authorized Research on the Shaikh Ahmad Hassan College of Regulation (SAHSOL), Lahore College of Administration Sciences (LUMS), convened a high-profile commemorative gathering highlighting the enduring energy and evolving nature of Pakistan-China relations. The occasion introduced collectively distinguished members of academia, the authorized fraternity, enterprise and trade leaders, policymakers, and representatives of the Chinese language neighborhood in Pakistan.

The gathering underscored the depth and resilience of the Pakistan-China partnership, which has grown over many years right into a complete relationship anchored in strategic cooperation, shared regional pursuits, and enduring people-to-people ties. The event was graced by the Consul Normal of the Individuals’s Republic of China in Lahore, His Excellency Solar Yan, whose presence reaffirmed the continued significance of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations and their growth into educational, cultural, and institutional spheres.

Reinforcing the spirit of bilateral cooperation, scholarships supported by the Consulate Normal of the Individuals’s Republic of China in Lahore have been awarded to college students on the Regulation College in recognition of their educational excellence, Laiba Abid, Class of 2027, and Jalal Tarar, Class of 2027. The scholarships mirror a shared dedication to training, capacity-building, and the event of future authorized students as a part of long-term engagement between the 2 nations.

Talking on the event, Consul Normal His Excellency Solar Yan mirrored on the evolving scope of Pakistan-China cooperation as CPEC enters its 2.0 upgraded section, emphasising continued collaboration in financial development, technological innovation, inexperienced improvement, regional connectivity, and educational exchanges as a part of the subsequent chapter of bilateral engagement between the 2 nations.

Founding father of the Centre, Mr. Parvez Hassan, emphasised the significance of institutional capacity-building in the way forward for Pakistan-China relations, observing that whereas infrastructure initiatives could create roads, ports, and financial corridors, it’s in the end establishments, scholarship, mutual understanding, and the flexibility of societies to be taught from each other that maintain sturdy partnerships between nations.

The gathering concluded by highlighting the significance of sustained educational engagement in strengthening Pakistan-China relations, with LUMS persevering with to function a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and the alternate of concepts that help long-term institutional and cross-cultural linkages between the 2 nations.
