Naidu was simply Naidu to me. Ah Hock was simply Ah Hock to me. Majid was simply Majid to me. Babu was Babu. I used to be simply their Sekani pal. No race concerned. All naughty boys are having fun with one another’s firm. That’s life. That’s the way it must be. Interval.”

To this, one other replied, “And that’s uniquely Singapore.”

“It’s simply melanin,” a commenter chimed in.
