The United Nationwide Celebration (UNP) has issued a press release concerning the continued investigations into the 2019 Easter Sunday terror assaults.

The assertion notes that on April 21, 2019, following the Easter Sunday Assaults, the then Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe requested a full investigation and a report by the U.S. Authorities into the assault, because the Sri Lankan investigative businesses didn’t have sufficient experience. 

The Prime Minister assured the complete cooperation of the Sri Lankan authorities. 

Subsequently, on April 22, throughout a cellphone name between the then Prime Minister and U.S. President Donald Trump an identical request was made.
“Donald J. Trump spoke to Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe of Sri Lanka this morning to tell him that the US stands by him and his nation within the struggle towards terrorism. Additionally expressed condolences on behalf of myself and the Folks of the US,” the assertion provides.  

The FBI carried out a full investigation into the assaults, in collaboration with the Sri Lankan authorities together with the CID, Army Intelligence and State Intelligence Companies. On the idea of all the data recorded and the fabric collected, a report was issued by the FBI to the Sri Lankan authorities. This was accepted by all of the related authorities in Sri Lanka.

On Nov. 12 2020, FBI Particular Agent Merrilee R. Godwin of the FBI filed a 71-page affidavit within the U.S. District Courtroom for the Central District of California

Following a two yr investigation, a prison case was filed on Dec. 11, 2020, within the U.S. District Courtroom in Los Angeles. The defendants named within the criticism (Mohamed Naufar, Mohamed Anwar Mohamed Riskan and Ahamed Milhan Hayathu Moahmed), together with different suspects linked to the assaults, have been already detained in Sri Lanka on the time of submitting the case.

The whole materials pertaining to the U.S. investigation is on the market with the FBI and or the Division of Justice. Because the authorities has restarted the investigation, has an utility been made to the U.S. authorities for this materials, and what has been the reply? If not, why has the federal government not finished so? This materials should be made out there to the judicial authorities in Sri Lanka, the assertion additional notes.
