Iranian negotiating team to visit Switzerland – MFA

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 20. Within the coming hours,
an Iranian negotiating group will journey to Switzerland to carry
talks with the U.S. facet.

The spokesman for the Iranian Overseas Ministry Ismail Baghai
stated in a press release to native media.

“Iran’s negotiating group will journey to Switzerland to carry
talks with the US facet. The aim of the go to is to demand that
the opposite facet fulfill its obligations,” he stated.

In response to him, discussions to succeed in a closing settlement will
start if the obligations stipulated in clauses 1, 4, 5, 10 and 11
of the memorandum of understanding are fulfilled and continued.

Baghai stated that on the present time, this case is just not
noticed. The Iranian delegation intends to find out throughout the
go to how the opposite facet will fulfill its obligations.

“If even a small a part of the memorandum of understanding is just not
carried out, your entire settlement faces an unknown scenario. The
Iranian facet has fulfilled its obligations and expects the opposite
facet to satisfy its obligations as effectively. Israel’s failure to
implement the ceasefire in Lebanon is a transparent violation of my
memorandum of understanding,” he famous.

The Overseas Ministry official added that the Iranian facet did
not signal commitments that won’t be carried out. These
commitments have been signed after a number of weeks of intense discussions
and the efforts of mediators. Naturally, the Iranian facet will make
each effort to implement them.

Because the US and Iran failed to succeed in concrete outcomes relating to
their nuclear program, the US and Israel launched navy
airstrikes towards Iran on February 28, and Iran has been firing
missiles and drones at Israel and US amenities within the area since
that day. A ceasefire settlement was reached between the events on
April 7, mediated by Pakistan.

A peace memorandum was signed between Iran and the US
on June 18. The memorandum was signed by Iranian President Massoud
Pezeshkian and US President Donald Trump. The memorandum got here into
impact on June 19.
