The Ministry of Overseas Affairs (MoFA) Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi mentioned on Monday that the Afghan chargé d’affaires was summoned and issued a robust demarche over the terrorist assault on the Rangers camp in Karachi.

On Saturday, safety forces foiled a terrorist assault in Karachi, wherein three Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) personnel embraced martyrdom and 4 others have been injured. The assault, in accordance with the army’s media wing, was launched by “Khwarij belonging to Indian proxy, Jamaat-ul-Ahrar”. The assailants, after a blast on the fundamental gate on the Rangers camp, tried to breach the perimeter safety however have been pushed again by personnel who killed three Kharjis and captured one, recognized as an Afghan nationwide, in an injured situation.

Earlier, Info Minister Attaullah Tarar mentioned safety forces had carried out precision strikes on terrorist camps and protected havens of Jamaat-ul-Ahrar and Fitna al-Khawarij in Afghanistan’s Paktia, Paktika and Kunar provinces, killing 29 terrorists. The strikes have been carried out beneath Operation Ghazab Lil Haq on the night time of June 28-29 after an assault on a Rangers camp in Karachi.

It added, “Reiterating Pakistan’s grave concern over the continued use of Afghan soil for terrorist assaults towards Pakistan, it was impressed upon the Afghan facet that Pakistan reserves the precise to reply decisively towards the perpetrators of this barbaric act.”
