A Qantas aircraft carrying 74 passengers had an “unsettling” flight to Dubbo after a bomb risk was made.
Police confirmed a serious investigation was underway at Dubbo Regional Airport after a threatening name was made in regards to the flight.
A spokesman stated the airport was evacuated and police remained on the scene to observe the state of affairs.
“There isn’t any rapid threat to public security,” a spokesman stated.
Dubbo Regional Council mayor Josh Black stated they have been notified of a bomb risk on a aircraft destined for the regional city, about 400km northwest of Sydney, on Monday morning.

“The aircraft has landed safely and all 74 passengers and crew have disembarked,” he stated.
“Additional investigations are underway by related emergency companies.”
A Qantas spokesman stated there was a safety incident on Monday morning at Dubbo Airport that was investigated.
“Flights have now resumed,” a spokesman stated.
“We recognise this may have been unsettling and disruptive for patrons and we thank them for following the directions of our crew and the native authorities.
“Security is at all times our first precedence.”
