MANILA, Philippines — Senator Rodante Marcoleta can be detained on the New Quezon Metropolis Jail in Barangay Payatas after the Sandiganbayan issued a warrant for his arrest over a non-bailable plunder case involving an alleged P75 million marketing campaign donation, Affiliate Justice Karl Miranda stated Monday.
Miranda introduced the issuance of the arrest warrant towards Marcoleta, former Anakalusugan Rep. Mike Defensor, and businessmen Aristotle Viray and Joseph Espiritu.
Marcoleta arrived on the Sandiganbayan early Monday for the listening to on his three motions, together with a bid to droop the proceedings and one other searching for to cease the implementation of the warrant for his arrest.
