Rescue Efforts Underway Amidst Heavy Rains
As per officers from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Company (BMC), 4 ladies and a person have been “introduced useless” to the civic-run Shatabdi Hospital. One other man was declared useless at Rajawadi Hospital.
One injured man is being handled on the BMC-run Rajawadi, they stated.
The incident occurred at Chawl No 5 in Janta Nagar, behind Hanuman Mandir, at round 8.30 pm, they stated. Earlier, officers had stated that 4 to 5 individuals have been feared trapped on the scene.
As per preliminary data, two to a few tenements forming a part of the three-storey construction caved in, prompting a rescue operation by personnel from Mumbai Fireplace Brigade, police, BMC ward workplace and ‘108’ ambulance providers, the officers stated. Search and rescue operations have been persevering with to determine if extra individuals have been trapped underneath the particles, officers stated.
Native BJP corporator Navnath Ban stated that another individual continues to be feared trapped underneath the particles. The operation is going through challenges attributable to heavy rains, he stated.
