A suspect was shot within the leg by Border Law enforcement officials on the Shuafat crossing within the Jerusalem space on Thursday night.
Border Law enforcement officials working on the Shuafat crossing seen a person behaving suspiciously, the Israel Police spokesperson reported. They ordered the suspect to cease, however he did not comply, resulting in his arrest.
In the course of the arrest, the suspect was shot within the leg. No officers have been injured within the incident.
In a separate incident on Thursday night, Border Law enforcement officials working on the Tunnels Checkpoint within the Jerusalem space arrested a Hebron resident who was carrying a knife.
The officers seen the suspect behaving suspiciously. When ordered to cease for inspection, he refused to comply with orders.
In the course of the arrest, the officers discovered a knife on his individual. He has been transferred to safety forces for additional questioning.
