Tarar claims India-linked anti-Pakistan propaganda network exposed

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Info and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar on Sunday claimed that authorities had uncovered an anti-Pakistan social media propaganda community allegedly linked to India’s intelligence company, asserting that the banned Joint Motion Committee had connections with Indian components.

In a video assertion, Tarar alleged {that a} coordinated social media marketing campaign was launched to incite the general public towards Pakistan’s state establishments.

He claimed that people related to the banned Motion Committee must reply to the nation for his or her actions, accusing them of trying to undermine public belief in state establishments.

The data minister additional alleged that the community liable for spreading misinformation and anti-Pakistan narratives had hyperlinks to India and was geared toward creating mistrust between the general public and state establishments.

Tarar mentioned that if the leaders of the banned Motion Committee have been genuinely dedicated to the pursuits of Kashmir, they need to participate within the democratic course of by contesting elections as an alternative of pursuing what he described as force-based actions.

He additionally claimed that safety forces had arrested a suspect allegedly concerned in an anti-Pakistan propaganda marketing campaign whereas working below the quilt of a digital advertising and marketing enterprise.

In accordance with the minister, preliminary investigations advised the suspect had allegedly acquired content material from India, a lot of it associated to the Motion Committee’s marketing campaign and narratives circulated on social media.

Tarar reiterated the federal government’s evaluation that the misinformation community had hyperlinks to India and alleged that the banned Motion Committee was linked to the identical community.

The minister’s claims haven’t been independently verified, and there was no rapid response from representatives of the Motion Committee.
