NEW DELHI: DMK chief Udhayanidhi Stalin on Tuesday reacted strongly to his detention over an alleged “distasteful double-meaning comment” made throughout a protest in opposition to the Vijay-led authorities in Tamil Nadu. The comment was made in response to the general public chant of an actress’s identify at a gathering in Thanjavur.Udhayanidhi, himself an actor-turned-politician, claimed that the video of his speech being circulated was “doctored” and stated he would problem the matter legally.Calling it a “solid case,” the chief of the opposition alleged that the Vijay-led TVK authorities has been submitting false instances in opposition to DMK MLAs and fascinating in horse-trading ever because it got here to energy.After being detained and brought into police custody, he instructed reporters, “Did I say something fallacious?
