New Delhi [India], August 4 (ANI): India on Tuesday dismissed Pakistan’s criticism of its ties with Afghanistan, saying the remarks mirrored Islamabad’s ‘insecurity and frustration’ over the constructive trajectory of India-Afghanistan relations.

The remarks had been made by the Ministry of Exterior Affairs Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal throughout a bi-weekly press briefing right here within the nationwide capital.

When requested in regards to the latest remarks by the Pakistani Military spokesperson, Normal Ahmed Chaudhary, the place he criticised India-Afghanistan ties by way of invoking spiritual verses, advising Kabul to steer clear of ‘non-believers’, Jaiswal mentioned, ‘The spokesperson of Pakistan had made sure feedback. Such statements and feedback mirror the Pakistani state’s insecurity and frustration over the constructive trajectory of India-Afghanistan ties.’

Indian envoy to america Vinay Kwatra mentioned New Delhi’s resolution to maintain the IWT in abeyance ‘merely acknowledged what Pakistan’s conduct had already destroyed’ in an article on Sunday.

India’s resolution to carry the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty in abeyance was a direct response to a lethal terror assault in Pahalgam, whereas Pakistan’s conflict threats over the water accord are merely an try to ‘distract from its inside issues’, Kwatra mentioned in an article revealed in Newsweek journal. He affirmed that if Pakistan sincerely needs India’s cooperation on bilateral points, ‘it should first dismantle the fear infrastructure that it has constructed.’

Kwatra mentioned it’s price remembering that the treaty’s preamble declares it was concluded ‘in a spirit of goodwill and friendship.’ Nonetheless, ‘Pakistan spent half a century dismantling that goodwill and friendship.
