Amid the continuing controversy over the mixing of ethanol in petrol within the nation, Bharatiya Janata Social gathering MP from Rewa, Janardan Mishra, on Sunday defended the Centre’s ethanol coverage and requested its opponents, “Will pure petrol come out of your father’s home?”

Addressing an occasion to inaugurate new flight providers from Rewa to Bhopal and Kolkata, Mishra stated that India produces solely 20 per cent of crude oil, whereas 80 per cent must be imported from overseas.

Citing the worldwide geo-political scenario, the BJP MP claimed that ships need to journey an extra distance of roughly 18,000 km to provide oil.

“In such a scenario, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi talks about mixing 20 per cent ethanol in petrol, some folks begin protesting.”

Ethanol Mixing: A International Perspective

Mishra additionally stated that automobiles in India can run on ethanol mixing, however some individuals are saying do not use it.

Defending ethanol mixing in petrol, he claimed that in Brazil, automobiles run on 100 per cent ethanol, and there are not any issues with automobiles there.
