Yadgar-e-Fatah monument inaugurated in Islamabad ahead of Independence Day

The nation is celebrating Independence Day with zeal and fervour and a renewed pledge to work with the spirit of the Pakistan Motion to make the nation a real Islamic welfare state.

On the eve of the nation’s 79th Independence Day, President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Defence Forces and the Chief of the Military Workers Subject Marshal Asim Munir, collectively inaugurated the Yadgar-e-Fatah monument in Islamabad.

The monument marks Pakistan’s victory over India throughout Might 2025 battle. On Might 6-7, India — after levelling baseless and unfounded allegations towards Pakistan for an assault in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir — launched an assault on Islamabad, which was responded to with full pressure, humiliating New Delhi.

The greater than 80-hour warfare finally stopped on Might 10 after intervention from the US, which noticed a number of Indian jets and drones being downed, and bolstered Pakistan’s picture as a “internet safety stabiliser”.

Pakistan, in the course of the battle, downed eight Indian fighter jets, together with French-made Rafale, and dozens of drones.

Independence Day’s vibrant celebrations replicate the nation’s wealthy cultural heritage, nationwide spirit and the outstanding journey of Pakistan since independence.

The day will daybreak with a 31-gun salute within the federal capital and a 21-gun salute at provincial headquarters.

Particular prayers will likely be supplied in mosques after Fajr prayer for peace, solidarity and prosperity of the nation.

President Zardari will hoist the nationwide flag at a particular ceremony within the federal capital.

Comparable flag hoisting ceremonies will even be held at provincial, divisional and district headquarters throughout the nation.

Buildings, streets, markets and public locations have been embellished with nationwide flags, buntings and vibrant lights, giving a festive look to the cities and cities.

A variety of packages, together with seminars, exhibitions, cultural occasions and different actions, have been organised to commemorate Independence Day with conventional zeal and fervour and to spotlight the sacrifices of the nation’s forefathers.

ISPR has launched a nationwide music “Mera Pyara Watan Pakistan” on the event of Independence Day. The lyrics of the music replicate deep love for the motherland and nationwide unity.

Independence Day can be being noticed with zeal and zest in Azad Jammu and Kashmir as elsewhere throughout Pakistan.

The Day will daybreak with a 21-gun salute on the state capital Muzaffarabad and particular prayers will likely be supplied after Fajar prayer for peace, solidarity and prosperity of the nation and early liberation of the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Flag-hoisting ceremonies will likely be held in all districts of AJK. The AJK prime minister will lay a floral wreath on the Shuhada monument.
