SLPP Nationwide Organizer and Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa has accused the federal government of trying to take political revenge towards him and different opposition figures.

Rajapaksa made the remarks whereas attending a Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) social gathering assembly held in Diyabeduma, Polonnaruwa as we speak (August 16).

Referring to the current arrest of the SLPP Normal Secretary, Rajapaksa stated there had been a robust effort to have him remanded over allegations that he had intimidated the Inspector Normal of Police (IGP).

Nevertheless, he famous that the court docket finally granted bail.

Rajapaksa questioned whether or not the IGP had really been intimidated, saying the matter needs to be straight clarified by the IGP as a result of the allegation had originated from the police.
