Actor Vikrant Rai, who turned director along with his upcoming movie Cousin Isha, is all out to showcase his hometown Azamgarh in all its glory. Final seen within the characteristic movie Tatkshan (2024), the actor says that he has carved a novel love story set in Purvanchal.

Because the title suggests, the movie is a love story however with a twist. “It has a novel angle that has by no means been explored earlier than, because the title suggests. There’s extra to it than it apparently seems like, which viewers will come to know because the movie progresses,” he says and provides, “Because it’s a love story, we tried to present the very best of music with singers Shaan, Shahid Mallya, and Rahul Mishra lending their voices. With me within the lead, it has actor Surabhi Talodia, Anjuman Saxena, Naresh Gosain and Prateek Pachauri.”

This will probably be his fifth movie, together with Uuva (2015) and Bhouri (2016). “Tatkshan was shot completely in Lucknow. It was launched in restricted theatres in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. With restricted sources, I’ll attempt to do my finest to do a great theatrical launch.”

Born in Kaptanganj, Azamgarh, he has lived in numerous cities. “I’m a son of a retired Indian Navy personnel, so I’ve lived in numerous cities in India wherever my father was posted.”
