Practically 4 years after the Lucknow Municipal Company (LMC) hooked up a Dalibagh property belonging to the spouse of Ghazipur MP Afzal Ansari below the Gangsters Act, the household regained possession of the property on Wednesday—solely to seek out its essential entry route blocked by partitions.

Further municipal commissioner Pankaj Srivastava stated that as per official orders, the LMC handed over possession of the property on Wednesday and that any additional motion could be handled by the departments involved.

Residents of the locality, talking on situation of anonymity, alleged that the partitions had been constructed by the Lucknow Growth Authority (LDA) throughout the improvement of the adjoining Sardar Vallabhbhai housing residences.

They claimed the LDA initially constructed a wall alongside one aspect of the method and later one other wall throughout the route that had earlier been used as the principle vehicular passage to the Ansari property.

The event has left the household with possession of the property however, for now, with out the direct entry they declare was out there earlier than the adjoining housing mission was developed. The household is now searching for elimination of the obstruction to revive entry to the home.

The allegations relating to development of the partitions couldn’t be independently verified. When contacted by HT, LDA chief engineer Manvendra Singh stated he was unaware of the matter.
