The warden of a non-public women’ hostel in Mohaddipur space right here was detained and questioned on Thursday after inmates alleged that she positioned a cell phone with its digicam switched on inside a rest room utilized by them, police stated.

In response to studies, a newly admitted pupil, who had joined the hostel two days earlier, allegedly noticed a cell phone inside a tin shed whereas utilizing the lavatory on the evening of September 8. She recorded a video of the machine and alerted different residents, following which the women referred to as the police helpline 112. A police group reached the hostel and seized the cellphone.

“The cellphone had been seized and police are analyzing the recordings discovered on it,” Cantt inspector Jitendra Singh stated.

Some college students had saved footage on their telephones, which police reportedly requested them to delete, although some clips had been allegedly circulated on-line.

Singh additionally instructed police that CCTV cameras had been put in at numerous areas within the hostel as a part of safety preparations and claimed she had no flawed intention in putting the cellphone within the lavatory.
