Reform vows to deploy Trump-style tariffs against countries that refuse to accept return of illegal migrants

Damascus, Sept. 29 (SANA) Syria will enable overseas automobile, equipment and tire corporations to register non-exclusive companies and open branches or workplaces within the nation, the Ministry of Economic system and Trade mentioned Tuesday.

The businesses should register with the Overseas Firms Branches and Businesses Division on the Basic Directorate of Inner Commerce and Client Safety in accordance with present laws, the ministry mentioned in a call revealed on Telegram.

The ministry didn’t give a timetable for registrations to start.

In September 2025, the ministry transferred the division chargeable for overseas firm branches and companies from its overseas commerce directorate to the Basic Directorate of Inner Commerce and Client Safety in Damascus. It mentioned the transfer was supposed to streamline administration and strengthen oversight of overseas corporations working in Syria.
