MUSCAT: Mar Gregorios Orthodox Maha Edavaka in Ruwi hosted what organisers described as Oman’s first Christian bhajan night on October 2, bringing collectively tons of of worshippers, music lovers and members of various Christian denominations.
Titled “Stuthiyude Vazhiyil”, that means “Within the Path of Reward”, the programme was held at St. Thomas Church Corridor because the spotlight of the Mar Gregorios Orthodox Christian Youth Motion’s (MGOCYM) 2025–2026 valedictory operate.
The musical programme mixed Indian devotional traditions with Christian hymns and songs of reward. Clergymen and representatives from sister church buildings attended, becoming a member of the congregation in prayer and fellowship.
Coordinated by George Samuel and Benson Skaria, the efficiency featured a choir and instrumentalists wearing conventional apparel. Organisers mentioned the devotional repertoire drew enthusiastic viewers participation and standing ovations.
Through the valedictory session, parish leaders praised the MGOCYM workforce for an initiative that introduced youthful and older members of the neighborhood collectively in worship.
The night concluded with appreciation for the choir, musicians, organisers and neighborhood members who supported the programme.
