Gilgamesh et les Cèdres du Liban 🌲 Le Mythe de la Forêt Sacrée | Bcharré

🌲 Il y a près de 4000 ans, l’épopée de Gilgamesh racontait déjà la légende d’une forêt de cèdres sacrée.

🍃 Cette forêt, réservée aux dieux, est décrite comme un lieu dense, parfumé, où résonnent les oiseaux et les cigales.

👁️ Son gardien, le terrifiant Humbaba, y veillait sur ordre du dieu Enlil, inspirant crainte et respect.

⚔️ Pour ramener un bois digne des dieux, le roi Gilgamesh et son compagnon Enkidu affrontent le géant et le terrassent.

🪓 Ils abattent alors un cèdre immense, dont la cime, selon le texte, touchait presque le ciel.

🗺️ Plusieurs chercheurs situent cette forêt mythique du côté des hautes montagnes du Levant, dont le Liban.

🏔️ Aujourd’hui encore, la Forêt des Cèdres de Dieu, près de la vallée de Qadisha et classée par l’UNESCO, en garde le memento.
