You have got nonetheless, chosen not to answer the aforesaid notices and as an alternative, simply previous to the deadline expiring, issued a frivolous communication alleging that your entry to your e-mail account has been disabled, attributable to which you haven’t responded to the SCN,” Singh famous.

“You’re hereby positioned underneath interim suspension from the workplace of Secretary Normal with quick impact, pending completion of the inquiry or till the order is modified or revoked by the competent authority, topic to the relevant provisions of the BFI Structure,” mentioned the letter, a replica of which is with HT.

On Wednesday, Kumar is learnt to have met representatives from numerous state associations and 27 of the 34 models are mentioned to be supporting him. Quickly after the assembly, he issued a letter suspending Singh.

“Being recurring of getting nearly no regard for the democratic arrange and treating Boxing Federation of India as your fiefdom, you confirmed no regard for the served upon Stop- and-Desist Discover dated 08.10.2026 in continuation Of Particular Normal Assembly of the Normal Physique to deliberate and vote upon the Movement of No Confidence in opposition to you. You have got continued to claim govt management over the day-to-day administration of the federation,” it mentioned.

“This unwarranted interference instantly violates the constitutional framework of the Boxing Federation of India, causes administrative disarray, and threatens to compromise the sanctity and truthful conduct of the upcoming Particular Normal Assembly.”

The BFI issued a rebuttal, questioning the legality of the scheduled SGM.

“Beneath Clause 33(ii), a Particular Normal Assembly (SGM) could also be known as by the President at his discretion or following a written request from two-thirds of the Government Council members. Such a request could also be submitted to the President and/or Secretary Normal, following which the President should trigger the assembly to be convened inside 30 days.

“Clause 26(iii) gives that the Secretary Normal convenes Normal Council and Government Council conferences underneath the recommendation of the President. It doesn’t give the Secretary Normal unrestricted authority to independently convene an SGM,” it mentioned.

The federation mentioned the secretary normal doesn’t have the constitutional authority to droop the president.
