Bangladesh dispatched a humanitarian aid consignment to Sri Lanka this afternoon (Dec. 03) to help ongoing restoration efforts following the devastation attributable to the latest antagonistic climate situations.
The cargo of aid arrived at 1:00 p.m. this afternoon aboard a Bangladesh Air Power C-130 plane and was obtained by Mayuri Perera, Further Secretary on the Ministry of Defence.
The consignment was formally handed over by Andalib Elias, Excessive Commissioner of Bangladesh to Sri Lanka, underscoring the continued solidarity of Bangladesh with Sri Lanka throughout this difficult interval.
The cargo included 1,000 mosquito nets, 500 meals packets, 10 tents and 20 items every of torch lights, gum boots, vests, gloves and hats, together with 125 bins of important medicines.
The help can be instantly directed to affected communities, additional strengthening aid operations within the affected areas.
