Just a few showers could happen in Northern, Jap, and Uva provinces and in Polonnaruwa, Matale, and Nuwara-Eliya districts as we speak (Dec. 26), the Division of Meteorology mentioned.
Showers or thundershowers will happen at a number of locations in Sabaragamuwa province and in Galle, Matara, and Kalutara districts after 2.00 p.m.
Pretty heavy rainfall above 50 mm is probably going at some locations.
Pretty robust winds of about 40 kmph may be anticipated at instances over the Jap slopes of the central hills, Northern Province, and in Hambantota and Monaragala districts.
Misty situations may be anticipated at some locations in Western, Sabaragamuwa, and Central provinces and in Badulla, Galle, and Matara districts throughout the early hours of the morning.
Most of the people is kindly requested to take ample precautions to reduce injury brought on by non permanent localized robust winds and lightning throughout thundershowers.
