Following Cyclone Ditwah, the Export–Import Financial institution of Korea has agreed to supply humanitarian help amounting to US$50,000 to Sri Lanka via the Korean Purple Cross.
This humanitarian help has been prolonged in response to a request made by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
It’s acknowledged that the help is aimed toward supporting quick reduction efforts and restoration operations within the aftermath of the destruction attributable to the cyclone.
Chairman and Chief Govt Officer of the Export–Import Financial institution of Korea, Mr Kyeon Hwang, expressing his condolences to President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, emphasised that the Financial institution tremendously values its long-standing partnership with the Authorities of Sri Lanka.
He additional acknowledged that the Financial institution stands in solidarity with Sri Lanka and is happy to supply this help to assist restore important public infrastructure and to increase reduction to affected households at the moment residing in non permanent shelters.
With this contribution from the Export–Import Financial institution of Korea, the full humanitarian help prolonged to Sri Lanka by the Republic of Korea now quantities to US$550,000.
