Douglas Devananda
Former Minister Douglas Devananda, who had been arrested and remanded in custody, has been launched on bail.
When he was produced earlier than the Gampaha Justice of the Peace’s Courtroom at the moment (January 09), the Justice of the Peace ordered his launch on bail.
The previous minister was arrested and remanded in reference to an investigation into an incident during which a firearm issued to him by the Sri Lanka Military for private use in 2001 was discovered in the course of the questioning of organised felony Makandure Madush in 2019.
